BUILDING UP A DIGITAL ARCHIVE OF LEOPOLD GOTTLIEB (1879-1934) AND OTHER ACTIVITIES PROMOTING HIS WORK

1 July - 31 December 2024

The model developed during the Project will be implemented by the Foundation in subsequent years to build archives for other artists. The Foundation's staff and volunteers will broaden their digital skills.

As part of the project, the Foundation will be equipped with a computer station suitable for older people who constitute a significant target group for our activities. It will provide them with the opportunity to use digital archives and educational sites available online, thus helping them to improve their digital skills. As a result of the Project, the Foundation will extend its cultural offer and reinforce its presence in virtual spaces.

The social importance of this Project relies on promoting attitudes based on the awareness of one's cultural identity, as well as respect and tolerance for other cultures and diverse religious, political and moral beliefs (Gottlieb's multicultural work); activating the local community, particularly the elderly, while simultaneously improving their digital literacy; raising such literacy among the employees and volunteers at the Foundation; incorporating ecological aspects in the managing of the Project; leveraging technological innovations in the design and communication with the audience of the Foundation, as well as with potential sponsors and other partners from across cultural industries.
